Remove the parts according to the assembly drawing "Rear axle gearbox (with limited slip differential)".

3 - axle gear thrust washer,
4 - axle gear,
5 - satellite,
6 - satellite thrust washer,
7 - limited slip differential assembly,
8 - thrust block,
9 - satellite axis,
10 - pin,
11 - driven gear of the main transmission,
12 - bolt,
13 - side bearing,
14 - gearbox housing,
15 - oil deflector,
16 - outer ring of the front bearing,
17 - outer ring of the rear bearing,
18 - adjusting gasket,
19 - rear bearing,
20 - main gear drive pinion,
21 - spacer sleeve,
22 - front bearing,
23 - thrust washer,
24 - oil seal,
25 - flange,
26 - nut,
27 - outer ring of the side bearing,
28 - adjusting gasket,
29 - side bearing cover.


Note: Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.


Disassembly notes



Attention: to avoid damaging the parts, install special protective pads on the vice jaws.


Disassembling the differential



a) Place one of the axle shafts in a vice so that the axle shaft splines are above the vice jaws. Align the axle shaft splines with the axle gear splines and install the differential on the axle shaft so that the side with the final drive driven gear is located at the bottom.

d) Tighten the assembled device and move the axle gear away from the satellite.

d) Remove the satellite thrust washer.



e) Loosen the tightening of the device and tighten it again until a slight play appears in the axle gear.

g) Install the tool into the hole in the pinion shaft and rotate the differential housing to remove the pinion through the larger hole in the differential housing.

c) While holding the upper axle gear with your hand, remove the tools from the differential.

i) Remove the upper axle gear and friction discs.

Note: Do not swap the friction discs. Keep their order.

k) Remove the retaining ring and remove the friction discs.
