Caution! Do not allow the drive wheels to slip, as this may cause wear and premature damage to the transmission components.
Rocking the car back and forth (Mazda Capella GC)
If you need to rock the car back and forth to free it from snow, sand, or mud, alternately move the automatic transmission shift lever between the "D" and "R" positions, while gently applying throttle. In vehicles with a manual transmission, shift alternately into 1st or reverse gear. Do not allow the engine to run at full power. If after one or two minutes of rocking the car it is not possible to free it, it is necessary to pull it out to avoid overheating and possible damage to the gearbox.
