Removal
1. Remove the rear wheel.
2. Remove the brake hose retaining clip (A) and the ABS sensor wire from the strut mounts. Loosen the mounting nuts (B) and remove the bolts securing the hub bracket to the strut.
3. Remove the hub bracket from the strut.
4. Remove the trim panel in the trunk to gain access to the upper pillar mount.

5. Unscrew the upper mounting nuts and remove the rack.
Examination
Check the condition of the suspension strut as described in subsection 10.3.1.
Replace the strut or spring if necessary.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
