1. Lower the door window and try adjusting the position of the rearview mirror glass. You should hear the noise of the engines running.

2. If the noise is heard but the glass does not move, the connecting mechanism is probably faulty. Remove and disassemble the rearview mirror.



3. If you cannot hear the engine noise, check the radio fuse.

4. If the fuse is OK, remove the electric drive switch (indicated by the arrow) and check for power supply.

5. Check the switch operation using an ohmmeter and the Rearview Mirror Adjuster Continuity Chart - Ford Probe Models, Rearview Mirror Adjuster Continuity Chart - Mazda 626 Models Before 1997, and Rearview Mirror Adjuster Continuity Chart - Mazda MX-6 Models. Replace the switch if necessary.

6. Check the connecting wires between the switch and the rearview mirror.

7. Replace the electric mirror if it is faulty.
