Ford Fiesta/Mazda 121 with 1.3L engine
Note: If the generator is seriously faulty, it can be replaced with a repaired one in a workshop.
Removal
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Note: This will erase data from the electronic memory blocks.
Remove the poly V-belt.
Air conditioning system: unscrew the four compressor mounting bolts and hang the compressor on a wire to the body.
Precautions: Do not open the refrigerant line. If the refrigerant comes into contact with your skin, it may cause frostbite.

From the back of the generator, mark the wires with tape and disconnect them.

Remove the two bolts from the back of the generator.

Remove the two bolts from the front of the generator and remove the generator.
Installation
Place the generator in the desired position and lightly tighten the rear bolts.
Screw in the bolts from the front side and tighten with a torque of 25 Nm.
Tighten the rear bolts to 25 Nm.
Connect the electrical wires in accordance with the marks made earlier.
Install the air conditioning compressor and tighten its mounting bolts to a torque of 25 Nm.
Check the poly V-belt for wear and replace it if necessary.
Install the poly V-belt and tighten it.
Connect the negative cable to the battery. Set the clock.
Specially for Ford Fiesta model with 1.8L diesel engine

Note: Only differences from the 1.3L engine are described here.
Unscrew the two bolts and remove the belt tensioner.
Remove one bolt from the back of the generator (1.3L engine: two bolts).

Unscrew the wire clamps (1).
Carefully disconnect the high pressure line (2) and drain the hydraulic fluid into a suitable container.
Seal the hoses and hose connections with plastic wrap and rubber plugs to prevent dirt from getting inside.

Unscrew the power steering oil pump mounting bolts together with the holder.
Install the oil pump with the holder and tighten its mounting bolts to a torque of 25 Nm.
Tighten the union nut of the high-pressure pipe to a torque of 65 Nm and secure the two pipe clamps with bolts.
Attach the low pressure hose.
Specially for Ford Fiesta/ Mazda 121 models with 1.25/1.4 l engine

At the rear of the generator, disconnect the wire from the B+ connection (1) and remove the plug (2).

Loosen the bolt (1) of the upper generator support. The tightening torque is 50 Nm.
Unscrew the bolt (2) from the rear mount. Its tightening torque is 25 Nm.
Unscrew the generator lower support bolt. Its tightening torque is 50 Nm.
Especially for Ford KA model
Note: Only differences from Ford Fiesta models are listed here! Mazda 121 with 1.3L engine.
Remove the inner part of the front right fender.
Remove the front bumper.
Remove the right headlight.
