Removing
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery with the ignition off.
Attention: This will erase data from the electronic memory blocks, such as radio codes. See instructions in chapter «electrical equipment».
Mark the position of the right front wheel relative to the hub, so that you can then install the wheel in the same position. With the vehicle on the ground, loosen the wheel bolts. Support the vehicle at the front and remove the right front wheel.
If it is, remove the bottom cover (casing) engine compartment.
Ford Fiesta/Mazda 121 with power steering: unscrew the bolts and remove the poly V-belt cover from the power steering pump.
Ford Fiesta/Mazda 121: unscrew the bolts and remove the bottom cover of the V-ribbed belt (1). Disconnect the coolant hose (2).

Vehicles with power steering
1. Tension wheel; 2. Generator; 3. Intermediate roller; 4. Power steering pump; 5. Water pump; 6. Crankshaft.
Vehicles with air conditioning
1. Tension wheel; 2. Generator; 3. Air conditioner compressor; 4. Crankshaft; 5. Water pump.
Vehicles with power steering and air conditioning
Turn the middle belt tensioner bolt (arrow) ring wrench 15 mm to the right, while loosening the tension of the V-ribbed belt. Remove belt.
Installation
Put on the V-ribbed belt, while loosening the belt tensioner by turning the middle bolt to the right.
Attention: The compressed spring of the belt tensioner ensures the correct tension of the belt after several revolutions of the engine.
Ford Fiesta/Mazda 121: Loosen the bolts and remove the upper and lower V-ribbed belt covers. Disconnect coolant hoses.
Connect the negative cable to the battery. Set the clock, program the radio.
Install the front wheel in accordance with the marks made during removal. Before doing this, lightly grease the centering hole in the disc and the tapered surfaces of the wheel nuts. Do not grease wheel nut threads. Tighten the wheel nuts, lower the vehicle and tighten the wheel nuts crosswise to 90 Nm.
If equipped, install the lower engine compartment cover.
