2. Start the engine and warm up the working fluid of the hydraulic booster system to 50-60°C.
Note: to warm up the liquid, turn the steering wheel to the right and left several times until it stops.
3. With the engine running at idle, connect a dynamometer as shown. With the front wheels in the straight ahead position, measure the steering force in both directions.
- Effort on the steering wheel - no more than 7.8 N
If the measured force exceeds the set limit, check:
- liquid level in the tank;
- lack of air in the system;
- no fluid leaks in the hose or connections;
- serviceability of the pump and steering mechanism;
- tire pressure.
