General description of the electrical system (Mazda Capella GC)

The electrical system is 12 volts, ground negative. The on-board network is powered by a lead-acid battery, which is recharged by a generator.

This Section covers the repair and maintenance of various electrical components not related to the engine. Information about the battery, alternator, distributor and starter can be found in Section 5.

It is important to note that whenever any part of the electrical system is repaired, the negative battery cable must be disconnected to prevent short circuits or fires.
