
2. Lift the safety locking handle and open the hood.

3. Install the retaining rod under the hood.

Before closing the hood, place the rod in place. Lower the hood.

- In vehicles equipped with an aromatic transmission, the hood can only be opened when the gearshift lever is in the "P" (parking) position and the parking brake is firmly applied. Turn off the engine unless it is necessary to keep it running to control systems. If the vehicle is equipped with a manual transmission, do not open the hood until the engine is stopped, the gearshift lever is in position I and the parking brake is firmly applied;
- If it is necessary to carry out work under the hood with the engine running, set the manual transmission shift lever to the neutral position "N" and apply the parking brake. Otherwise, the car may start moving unexpectedly.
- To avoid injury, always turn off the engine and remove the key from the steering wheel lock before performing any work under the hood. Except when engine operation is necessary.
In this case, remove your tie, watch, bracelet and other items that may get caught in the parts of the operating mechanism.
