Caution: The engine must be completely cool before beginning this procedure. Before working near the fan, be sure to disconnect the negative battery cable.
1. Remove the distributor (Section 5) and the air filter assembly intake pipe.
2. Disconnect the fan connector.
3. Drain some coolant through the drain plug at the bottom of the radiator until its level drops below the upper radiator hose.
4. Remove the upper radiator hose;
5. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the fan motor and fan shroud assembly from the radiator.
6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
7. Fill the radiator to the proper level, connect the negative battery cable and check the fan operation by warming up the engine to operating temperature.
