2. The battery produces hydrogen gas, so keep open flames and burning cigarettes away from it.
3. Try not to tilt the battery. If electrolyte is spilled, flush it with large amounts of water. Use eye protection when working with batteries.
4. Always disconnect the negative (-) battery cable first, then the positive (+) (photo).
When loosening the nut, hold the negative cable clamp as the battery post may be damaged
5. Once the battery cables are disconnected, loosen the nuts and remove the retaining clip.
6. Carefully remove the battery from the engine compartment.
7. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Tighten the cables and retainer nuts securely, but do not overtighten them as this may damage the battery case. The battery cable posts and ends must be cleaned before connecting (Section 1).
