Inspection
1. Inspect the bracket by having an assistant move the transmission up and down. If the bracket rubber pad separates from the transmission or the transmission moves up but does not move down, replace the bracket assembly.
Replacement
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Support the transmission with a jack.
4. Remove the transmission bracket to engine/transmission mounting bolts.
5. Unscrew the nuts securing the bracket to the body and remove the bracket.
6. Install the new bracket into place and install the bracket-to-engine/transmission bolts. Tighten the bolts to the torque specified in the Specifications.
7. Install the bracket mounting nuts to the body and tighten them to the tightening torque specified in the Specifications.
8. Remove the jack and connect the negative battery cable.
