Caution! Avoid contact with exposed skin or vehicle paintwork. If antifreeze comes into contact with the affected areas, rinse with plenty of water.
Caution! Immediately clean up any spilled antifreeze on the garage floor or any traces of leakage on the expansion tank.
Caution! Always store antifreeze in a tightly sealed container and immediately repair any leaks in the engine cooling system.
The engine cooling system must be filled with coolant consisting of a solution of ethylene glycol and water (freezing point down to –9°C). The ratio depends on weather conditions. The concentration of ethylene glycol in water should be at least 50%, but should not exceed 70%.
The coolant also contains anti-corrosion and anti-foam additives. Every two years it is necessary to replace the coolant and flush the cooling system. Using antifreeze for a longer period of time can lead to corrosion and scale formation in the system, which leads to engine damage. Before adding antifreeze, check all hose connections and tighten the cylinder head mounting bolts. Antifreeze has a high fluidity and can leak even through very small holes.
