Removal
1. Set the front wheels straight ahead.
2. Disconnect the battery and wait a few minutes before proceeding.
3. Remove the air bag module mounting bolts.
4. Disconnect the connection connectors from the back of the module.
5. Remove the airbag module from the steering wheel.
6. Loosen the steering wheel mounting nut and mark the steering wheel installation position on the steering column shaft.
7. Using a puller, remove the steering wheel.
8. Fix the position of the spring and casing with adhesive tape.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. If the coil spring has been dislodged, turn it clockwise until it stops, then turn the spring counterclockwise 2-3/4 turns so that the arrow on the spring points up.
