Removal
1. Remove the steering wheel.
2. Loosen the coil spring mounting screws.
3. Unscrew the ground wire connection screw.
4. Disconnect the ground wire and remove the spring.
5. Remove the combination switch.
6. Remove the hood release cable from the lower section of the instrument panel.
7. Remove the lower section of the instrument panel.
8. On models with automatic transmission, disconnect the shift lock cable.
9. Loosen the intermediate shaft joint clamp bolt of the steering column (indicated by the arrow).
10. Remove the steering column mounting bolts and nuts (indicated by arrows).
11. Disconnect the connection connectors (indicated by arrows).
12. Remove the steering column.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
