1. After disconnecting any hydraulic pipes or removing elements, air must be bled from the hydraulic power steering system.
2. Set the front wheels straight. Fill reservoir with hydraulic fluid.
3. Start the engine and check the fluid level in the reservoir.
4. Bleed the air out of the system by turning the steering wheel almost all the way in both directions. Keep an eye on the level of hydraulic fluid in the reservoir.
5. Turn the front wheels straight ahead and let the engine run for a few more minutes. Add hydraulic fluid to reservoir if necessary.
