Fuel supply and return lines run from the fuel tank to the engine compartment and are clamped to the underbody.
Steel tubes
When replacing fuel system pipes, use only steel pipes.
When loosening tube connections, follow these guidelines:
- 1. Try not to bend or crush the tubes.
- 2. Replace the sealing rings.
Flexible hoses
Flexible hoses should not be located close to exhaust system components.
Removal and installation
Installing a spring clamp
1. Fuel pipe
2. 1–2 mm
3. Spring clamp
4. Hose
5. 2–6 mm
1. Release the pressure in the system.
2. Remove the clamps securing the tubes to the body.

3. Where rubber hoses connect to metal tubes, spring clamps (arrow) are commonly used. To remove one of these clamps, squeeze it with pliers and slide it upward. Installation is carried out in a similar manner.

4. Sometimes quick-release clamps are used in connections (1 – clamp; 2 – paws).
Repair
All damaged tubes and hoses must be replaced with similar ones.
