Please note: The models described in this manual are equipped with airbags. Before starting work, be sure to turn off the airbag system to avoid their sudden deployment.
1. Remove the lever handle.
2. Remove the center console.
3. Remove the gear shift boot.
4. Remove the boot from the bottom of the gear shift lever.
5. Remove the soundproofing pad.
6. Remove the steel retaining ring.
7. Remove the sealing ring and the upper stop.
8. Raise and support the front of the vehicle.
9. Remove the catalytic converter flange nuts.
10. Remove the exhaust system hanger brackets.
11. Remove the screws and remove the muffler heat shield.
12. Remove the gearshift rod bolt and remove the gearshift lever.
13. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
