1. Open the tailgate fully and lock it in this position.

2. Unscrew the bolts securing the upper end of the rack (figure 26.2). In the MX-6 model, it is necessary to hold the bolt from turning using a second key.



4. On the Probe model, remove the bolts and remove the strut from the vehicle (figure 26.3).



5 The rack is installed in the reverse order of removal.
