Attention: Operations and instructions applicable to all engines are described in the 1.3L engine section. This section only describes the differences.
Remove toothed belt.
Remove the plugs and wires for the following components: 1 - injection pump, 2 - glow plug connection, 3 - coolant temperature sensor, 4 - coolant temperature gauge, 5 - oil pressure warning light switch, 6 - diesel fuel heating system.
Pull off the vacuum hose (arrow) from the brake booster.
Attention: In the following operations, the escaping fuel must be collected with a rag. Do not allow diesel fuel to get on rubber parts, because. they may be damaged. If this does happen, wash off the diesel fuel with plenty of water.
Remove fuel supply line (2) from the diesel fuel heating device, and the fuel return line (1) - from injection pump. To do this, squeeze the tongues and pull off the quick-release connections.
Disconnect hoses (3) from injectors.
Loosen the union nuts of the high pressure fuel lines (1) from injectors and from injection pump. Remove fuel lines together with holders.
Attention: Do not change the shape of the bends. Close the openings for the fuel lines with protective caps so that dirt does not get inside.
Loosen the camshaft sprocket bolt. At the same time, insert a strong screwdriver through the hole in the sprocket and hold it while unscrewing the bolt. If necessary, knock down the camshaft sprocket with light blows of a plastic hammer from the tapered section of the shaft and remove it.
Unscrew the bolt and remove the sprocket under the camshaft, FOR
Remove both rear toothed belt guards.
Remove the toothed belt side cover.
Unscrew the injectors with a suitable socket.
Unscrew the bolts, remove the valve cover and the oil deflector located under it.
Unscrew the cylinder head bolts in reverse order of numbering, i.e. from 10 to 1 at the beginning by half a turn. Then unscrew all the bolts.
Attention: To unscrew the bolts, a special T70 size Torx wrench is required.
Raise the cylinder head.
Caution: After removal, do not place the head on its sealing surface, as this can damage fully open valves. You need to put the head on two wooden bars.
