Mark the position of the right front wheel relative to the hub, so that you can then install the wheel in the same position. With the vehicle on the ground, loosen the wheel bolts. Support the vehicle at the front and remove the right front wheel.
Put on the V-ribbed belt, while loosening the belt tensioner by turning the middle bolt to the right.
If it is, remove the bottom cover (casing) engine compartment.
Additional units are driven by two separate V-ribbed belts. The belt tension is adjusted using tension bolts.
V-ribbed belt for power steering pump
Removing
Loosen the bolts and remove the V-ribbed belt cover from the power steering pump.
Loosen clamping bolt (2) tension roller without unscrewing it. bolts (I) do not loosen the power steering pump pulley.
Loosen the V-ribbed belt with the tension bolt (3).
Installation
Put on poly V-belt.
Tighten the V-ribbed belt by turning the tensioning bolt (3).
Attention: Check the tension. To do this, press the V-ribbed belt between the pulleys with your thumb and measure the deflection depth with a ruler. In this case, it is necessary to distinguish between a new or non-new belt. Already after a few hours of operation, the V-ribbed belt can be considered not new. A new belt should sag by 1-2 mm, and not a new one by 1-3 mm.
Tighten the clamping bolt of the tensioning roller to 6 Nm, i.e. slightly.
Install poly V-belt cover.
V-ribbed belt for alternator/air conditioner compressor
Removing
Loosen clamping bolt (2) tension roller without unscrewing it.
Loosen the V-ribbed belt with the tension bolt (1).
Installation
Put on poly V-belt.
Tighten the V-ribbed belt by turning the tensioning bolt (1).
Attention: Check the tension. To do this, firmly press the belt between the pulleys with your thumb and measure the depth of deflection with a ruler. In this case, it should be distinguished whether a new or not a new belt is installed. After a few hours of operation, the belt can be considered not new. A new belt should sag by 1-2 mm, and not a new one by 1-3 mm.
Tighten clamp bolt (2) tension roller with a torque of 6 Nm, i.e. slightly.
