Warning: Liquid may be very hot.
2. Remove the oil pan clamp bolts and the oil pan itself.
3. Remove any traces of old gasket from the oil pan and/or transmission housing. Be careful not to scratch the metal or allow dirt to enter the transmission.
4. Install the new gasket onto the transmission case, using a drop of clean grease to hold it in place.
5. Install the tray and insert the bolts. Gradually tighten the bolts to the torque specified in the Specifications.
6. Install the drain plug, then fill the transmission with fresh fluid (Section 1, Chapter 28).
7. Take a short drive and inspect the oil pan for leaks.
