2. Jack up and securely support the front of the vehicle on axle stands. Drain approximately 1.1 L of transmission fluid (Section 1).
3. Locate the block wiring connector (near the battery) and turn it off.
4. Unscrew the block using large pliers (photo) and plug the opened hole with a rag.

5. Place your finger on the plunger of the solenoid unit. Place the switch on the negative battery terminal and touch the connector to the positive battery terminal. The plunger should retract (photo).

6. Replace the unit if there is any doubt about its condition.
7. Apply sealant to the threads of the electromagnetic unit before installation.
8. After installation, check the fluid level and add fluid as needed.
