2. Drain approximately 1.1 L of fluid from the transmission until the fluid level drops below the vacuum diaphragm (Section 1).
3. Disconnect the vacuum hose and remove the vacuum diaphragm from the transmission.
4. Connect the vacuum pump to the diaphragm and check that the plunger moves when vacuum is applied. If the plunger does not move or moves less than 2.5 cm, replace the diaphragm.
5. Apply sealant to the diaphragm threads before installation.
6. After installation, check the fluid level and add fluid as needed (Section 1).
