Glow plugs (Mazda Capella GD)

The only parts that are related to ignition are the glow plugs, which serve to initially heat the combustible mixture. Spark plugs cannot be repaired and must be replaced if damaged.

Glow plugs can only be tested when installed on the power supply. First, you need to place a 14V test lamp between the #4 spark plug connection and a suitable location on the body. Turn the ignition switch to the glow position (another person) and check if the indicator light comes on.

If this does not happen, then the wire must be disconnected from the engine thermal sensor. Set the ignition key to the glow position (no more than 15 seconds). The indicator light should now come on. In this case, you need to have the system checked in a workshop.
