Door lock
1. Remove the door trim panel.
2. Disconnect the rods and connectors from the door lock.
3. Loosen the mounting screws (indicated by arrows) and remove the lock.
4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
External door handle and lock drum
5. Remove the door trim panel.
6. Disconnect the rods and connection connectors (A) from the lock, remove the lock drum mounting clamp (B) by sliding it in the direction of the arrow (C).
7. On Ford Probe models, remove the caps and loosen the outer handle mounting nuts.

On Mazda models, remove the door handle retaining nut (indicated by the arrow), remove the plug and unscrew the second nut.
8. Remove the handle/drum from the vehicle.
