Removal
1. Open the hood.
2. Disconnect any wires or hoses that may interfere with removing the hood.
3. Mark the installation position of the hinges on the hood.
4. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the hood.
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Adjustment
1. Loosen the mounting bolts or nuts and move the hood as needed. Tighten the mounting bolts.
2. To adjust the position of the hood lock, loosen the lock mounting bolts and move the lock as needed.
3. Adjust the height of the hood rubber cushions.
4. Periodically lubricate the lock and hinges with lithium-based grease.
Hood lock - removal and installation
1. Mark the installation position of the lock. Remove the trim panel from above the lock. Unscrew the mounting bolts and nut and remove the lock.
2. Remove the mounting clamp.
3. Disconnect the end of the cable.
4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Lock release cable - removal and installation
1. Disconnect the cable from the hood latch.
2. Tie a piece of wire or thick thread to the cable and remove the cable from its mountings in the engine compartment.
3. Remove the wheel arch insert.
4. Unscrew the fastening nuts (indicated by an arrow) and remove the hood release handle and cable from the instrument panel.
5. Pull the cable into the passenger compartment and remove it from the car.
Installation
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
