Examination
1. To check the switch, disconnect the electrical connector, then remove the cover from the brake master cylinder reservoir.
2. Check the resistance between the switch terminals with the float raised (pic. 15.2). The resistance must be infinite.
3. Check the resistance between the switch terminals with the float down (pic. 15.3). The resistance must be zero.
4. If the switch does not function as specified, replace it.
Replacement
5. Disconnect the wiring connector from the switch (if it hasn't already been done).
6. Remove as much brake fluid as possible from the reservoir (using a syringe or syringe).
Warning. If you have used a cooking syringe, do not use it to prepare food. Turn out the screw and remove a tank from the main cylinder. Replace entire tank with seals.
7. Installation of a new tank is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
