Protecting your audio system from theft (Mazda Capella GF)

1. Some models are equipped with a theft-protected audio system. If the audio system's power supply is interrupted, the system will not operate until a unique five-digit code, which is programmed into the system's memory at the time of manufacture, is entered. Even if power is restored immediately, the system will not work. If your vehicle is equipped with such a system, do not disconnect the battery, remove the fuse, or remove the system from the socket unless you know the code.

3. Turn on the radio. Press the SCAN and AUTO M buttons simultaneously and hold them down for two seconds. The message "code e" will appear on the display.

4. Press the SCAN and AUTO M buttons and hold them down until four bars appear on the display.

5. Use the radio station selection buttons to enter the four-digit code.

Note: You only have three attempts to enter the correct code.

6. If the code is entered correctly, press SCAN and AUTO M. The message "cod e" will start flashing. After about five seconds, the time will appear on the display and the radio will start playing.
