1. Remove the clamp bolt and remove the speedometer drive cable with the mechanism from the transmission. Cm. Section 1, Chapter 4.
2. Partially remove the instrument panel board as described in Chapter 12, until the back of the speedometer becomes accessible. Disconnect the cable from the speedometer.
3. Release the cable and remove it from under the cover.
4. Transfer any O-rings and, if necessary, the driven mechanism from the old cable to the new one.
5. Assembly is carried out in reverse order.
