Removing
Open the hood.
Place protective pads around the edges of the engine compartment to protect painted surfaces from damage. Place a clean rag under the corners of the hood to protect the vehicle's paintwork when removing the hood.
Mark the position of the hinges on the hood with a marker.
Have an assistant hold the hood open and remove the hinge bolts, then remove the hood from the vehicle.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Install the hood with two people and hand-tighten the hood hinge bolts. Align the hood hinges according to the previously made marks and tighten the hood mounting bolts.
Position adjustment
Close the hood and check its position relative to adjacent surfaces. Adjust the position of the hood so that when the hood is closed, the gap around its perimeter is the same on all sides. To adjust, loosen the hood hinge bolts and move the hood to adjust its position. After adjustment, tighten the hood hinge bolts. If necessary, adjust the gap by changing the position of the front fenders of the car.
