Place the vehicle on a level, horizontal surface, apply the parking brake and engage gear. On vehicles with a manual transmission, engage reverse gear; on vehicles with an automatic transmission, place the selector lever in the "park" position.
Remove the wheel trim and loosen, but do not remove, the wheel nuts. Use wheel chocks to block the wheel located diagonally to the one that needs to be replaced.
Using the jack provided with the vehicle, raise the vehicle until the wheel is off the ground.
Loosen the wheel mounting nuts.
Remove the wheel.
If replacing a worn tire, ensure there is sufficient clearance from the ground to accommodate the new tire, then install the wheel onto the wheel studs.
Apply a small amount of lubricant or diesel fuel to the threads of the wheel stud and screw on the nuts, making sure the tapered side of the nut faces the wheel.
Lower the vehicle until the tire touches the ground and the wheel studs are centered in the wheel holes.
Tighten the wheel nuts evenly in a crisscross pattern.
Lower the vehicle and remove the jack.
Install the decorative wheel cover.
