Park the vehicle on a level surface, apply the parking brake and shift into gear. On vehicles with a manual transmission, engage reverse gear; on vehicles with an automatic transmission, set the selector lever to «parking».
Remove the wheel trim and loosen but do not remove the wheel nuts. Use the wheel chocks to block the wheel diagonally opposite the one you want to replace.
Raise the vehicle with the jack supplied with the vehicle until the wheel is off the ground.
Loosen the wheel nuts.
Remove the wheel.
If a worn tire is being replaced, allow sufficient ground clearance to fit the new tire, then install the wheel onto the wheel studs.
Apply some lubricant or diesel fuel to the wheel stud threads and screw on the nuts with the tapered side of the nut facing the wheel.
Lower the vehicle until the tire touches the ground and the wheel studs are centered in the wheel holes.
Tighten the wheel nuts evenly in a diagonal pattern.
Lower the car and remove the jack.
Install the wheel trim.
