General information
Cars are equipped with radial tires. Do not install different types of tires, such as radial and diagonal tires, on the same vehicle, as this will adversely affect the vehicle's behavior on the road.
It is recommended to change tires in pairs on the same axle. If only one tire is being replaced, make sure the new tire has the same size, structure and tread pattern.
Since tire pressure has a significant effect on performance and wear, check it on all tires at least once a month or before every long ride (tab. 11.1, 11.2). Check and adjust pressure on cold tyres.

Tires must be replaced when the tread depth has reached the minimum allowable value of 1.6 mm. Tires contain wear indicators that appear as stripes across the tread when tire wear exceeds the wear limit (pic. 11.1). Tire pressure and driving style affect tire life. High speed cornering, excessive acceleration or deceleration, and hard braking increase tire wear. Heavily worn tires puncture very easily and are especially dangerous during wet weather operation.
The nature of tire tread wear can indicate problems in the maintenance or adjustment of suspension elements and tires.
Wheel rims should be replaced if they are bent, rusted or corroded, bent, leaking air, if the stud hole is extended, or if the wheel nuts are not tightened securely enough. Aluminum rims are particularly susceptible to corrosion and scratch easily. If salt or alkaline water gets on aluminum rims, wash it off as soon as possible, as salt and lye can damage the rims.
Wheel balancing is important in terms of overall performance and braking behavior of the vehicle. Unbalanced wheels adversely affect the behavior of the car on the road, reduce tire life. Every time you install a tire on a wheel, it is necessary to carry out balancing in a car repair shop that has the necessary equipment.
Some car models are equipped with a compact spare wheel, which reduces the amount of storage space required in the trunk and is easier to handle due to its low weight. Check the spare tire pressure at least once a month. The compact tire is designed as a temporary replacement for a damaged standard wheel. Continuous use of the compact tire at speeds over 80 km/h is not recommended. In addition, the estimated tread life of a compact spare tire is 4,800 km (4,800 km). The spare wheel is specially designed for your car model, so you cannot use it on any other car. Diameter «spare wheels» less than the diameter of a standard wheel, so the vehicle's ground clearance will decrease by approximately 25 mm.
