Examination
Open the hood and remove the rubber strut boot to gain access to the front suspension strut switches.
Block the rear wheels and apply the parking brake.
Raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on stands.
Start the engine, ensure good ventilation and engage the gear so that the speedometer shows a speed of 15 km/h or more.
Caution! Prevent the vehicle from falling off the stands to avoid damage and/or injury.
Have an assistant turn on the damping control switches (on the dashboard). When switching from the "auto" position to the "sport"/"normal" position, the actuator should rotate the shock absorber piston rods by approximately 60°.
If none of the switches (actuators) does not work as required, check the fuse or locate and repair the break in the wires, then check the control unit. If only one of the switches is faulty, check the wiring and if it is good, replace the switch.
Once the checks are complete, stop the engine and lower the vehicle.
Removal and installation
Disconnect the contact connector from the switch.
Remove the screws and remove the switch from the top of the stand.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
