Wiper blades in perfect condition are a prerequisite for good visibility.
To prevent the brushes from becoming deformed, they should be cleaned regularly with glass cleaner. If the brushes are heavily soiled, for example by insect residues, they should be cleaned with a sponge or a clean cloth.
It is recommended to replace the wiper blades once or twice a year.
In case of frost, before each first switching on of the windshield wipers during a trip, you should check whether the brushes have frozen to the glass.
During an automatic car wash, wax particles can get on the windshield. To remove them, add a glass cleaner that has the property of dissolving wax into the windshield washer reservoir.
Filling the fluid reservoir with a glass cleaner with wax-dissolving properties can significantly improve the performance of the windshield wipers. Grease-dissolving cleaners do not completely clean glass.
Damaged brushes that can cause poor glass cleaning should be replaced.
Pull the wiper arm away from the windshield and remove the wiper by lifting the release lever.
Remove the retaining ring with round nose pliers and slide the brush blade outward.
Insert new blade and secure with circlip.
Establish brushes of a screen wiper on levers in sequence, return to removal. The retainer should clearly fix the brush on the wiper arm.
Lower the wiper arm onto the windshield.
