To avoid deformation of the wipers, it is necessary to clean them regularly with glass cleaner. If the brushes are heavily soiled, for example by insect debris, they should be cleaned with a sponge or clean cloth.

It is recommended to replace your windshield wipers once or twice a year.

In freezing temperatures, before turning on the windshield wipers for the first time during a trip, you should check whether the blades are frozen to the glass.

When washing your car automatically, wax particles may end up on your windshield. To remove them, add a glass cleaner with wax-dissolving properties to the windshield washer reservoir.

Filling the reservoir with a glass cleaner with wax-dissolving properties can significantly improve the performance of your windshield wipers. Grease-dissolving cleaners do not clean glass completely.

Damaged wiper blades, which may cause poor glass cleaning, should be replaced.

Move the wiper blade arm away from the windshield and remove the blade by lifting the release lever.

Using round-nose pliers, remove the retaining ring and slide the brush blade outward.

Insert the new blade and secure it with the retaining ring.

Install the wiper blades onto the arms in the reverse order of removal. The retainer should securely fix the blade onto the wiper arm.

Lower the wiper arm onto the windshield.
