If it is necessary to replace a metal fuel line tube, use only seamless steel tube, as copper or aluminum tubes are subject to rapid wear from the vibrations that occur during normal vehicle operation.
If only part of the metal fuel pipe is damaged, it can be cut off and replaced with a rubber hose. Only a hose made of reinforced gasoline-resistant rubber is suitable for replacement, on which the marking is applied «Fluroelastomer». The inner diameter of the hose must match the outer diameter of the fuel pipe. The length of the hose must be 100 mm longer than the length of the fuel line to be removed to ensure that the hose extends 50 mm to both ends of the metal section. Both ends of the hose are sealed with clamps.
If the length of the removed part of the metal tube of the gas pipeline exceeds 150 mm, then a metal tube with hose segments put on at its ends, the length of which is not more than 100 mm, should be used for connection.
