The hardening of the rubber engine mount buffers, their delamination and separation from the steel linings can be checked by pressing them with a large screwdriver.
Raise the front of the vehicle and support it on stands.
Use a jack to support the engine from below using a wooden block.
Engine mount torsion limiter
Remove the right front wheel and mudguard.
Remove the rubber plug and unscrew the torsion bar mounting bolt.

Remove the bolts from the engine compartment and remove the torsion bar assembly from the engine (figure 3.25).
Engine mounts
Remove the engine mounting nuts from underneath the vehicle.

Remove the bolts from the engine compartment and remove the engine mounts (figure 3.26).
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
