- Drive the car for some distance until the oil warms up and park it on a flat surface.
- With the engine idling, move the automatic transmission control lever from the park position to the "L" or "1" position and then back to the park position.
- Remove the oil dipstick and check that the fluid level is between the "L" (low) and "F" (full) marks.
