1. Before starting work, prepare the necessary tools and materials.
2. Warm up the engine. Remove the oil filler cap.
3. Raise the vehicle and support it on supports.

4. Place a pan under the oil drain hole and unscrew the plug using a socket wrench. Wait for the oil to drain. Wipe the plug clean and replace it.

5. Place a pan under the oil filter and unscrew the filter by turning it counterclockwise. Use a special wrench to unscrew the oil filter.
6. Wipe the cylinder block and the filter installation hole.

7. Lubricate the rubber gasket of the new filter with engine oil and screw the filter into place. Tighten the filter by hand until the filter gasket contacts the cylinder block. Then turn the filter an additional 3/4 turn.
8. Fill with new engine oil through the filler neck. Wait for the oil to drain into the pan. Start the engine and check for leaks. Check the oil level and add oil if necessary.
