Radiator cap location
On 4-cylinder models, the radiator cap is located on the right side, directly on the radiator, and the top hose is located on the left side. In 6-cylinder engines, the cap is located on the left side of the expansion tank.
Attention! The engine must be completely cool.
Removal and installation
Expansion tank
1. Disconnect the radiator bypass hose from the expansion tank.
2. Remove expansion tank mounting bolt (indicated by an arrow).
3. Remove the two bolts at the bottom of the engine compartment (indicated by arrows). Remove the tank. Drain the coolant into a suitable container and inspect the reservoir for cracks.
Radiator
4. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
5. Drain the coolant.
6. Remove cooling fans.
7. Disconnect the expansion tank bypass pipe, loosen the radiator hose clamps, unscrew the blots (IN) and remove the top (WITH) and lower radiator hoses.
8. Disconnect the hoses (indicated by arrows) from the oil cooler and cap the hoses.
9. Loosen the radiator bolts (indicated by arrows) and take it off.
10. Inspect the radiator for signs of leakage and damage. Check if the internal channels of the radiator are blocked. If necessary, the radiator must be repaired in a specialized workshop.
11. Use compressed air to clean out dirt and insects stuck between the radiator fins.
12. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
