Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the wires from the ignition distributor.
3. Remove the distributor cap and turn the engine crankshaft so that the tip of the rotor faces the terminal of cylinder N1.
4. Make a mark on the distributor body just below the tip of the runner.
5. Also mark the distributor installation position on the cylinder head.
6. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the distributor.
Installation
1. Install a new O-ring onto the distributor housing.
2. Install the distributor on the cylinder head in the same position as before removal. Check that the marks made earlier match.
3. Tighten the mounting bolts.
4. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Check the ignition timing and tighten the mounting bolts securely.
