Front crankshaft oil seal (Mazda Capella GE)

Replacement

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the lower engine shield.

3. Raise and support the front of the vehicle and remove the left front wheel.

4. Remove the crankshaft pulley, water pump pulley, timing belt covers, timing belt, belt thrust flange.

5. Remove the crankshaft sprocket.

6. Cut off the leading edge of the oil seal.



7. Remove the oil seal.

8. Clean the oil seal groove and lubricate the new oil seal with engine oil.



9. Set the seal to the required depth.
