Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the engine protection plate.
3. Raise and support the front of the vehicle. Remove the left front wheel. Remove the generator. Remove the air conditioning compressor without disconnecting the hoses from it and move the compressor to the side.
4. Remove the crankshaft pulley, water pump pulley, timing belt covers, timing belt, belt thrust flange and oil pan.
5. Remove the crankshaft sprocket.
6. Unscrew the front cover bolts and remove the cover.
Installation
Install a new gasket and reinstall the cover in reverse order.
