Caution! The models described in this manual are equipped with air bags. When working in the airbag area, always turn them off (see chapter 12) to avoid accidental activation, which could result in injury.
1. Remove the trim panel underneath the glove box.
2. Disconnect the connectors from the heater fan motor, the resistor, and the low speed relay (if it exists).
3. Unscrew the three screws securing the fan to the case.
4. Pull the fan straight down from the case.
5. To remove the fan impeller, remove the stopper from the electric motor shaft and remove the impeller (figure 11.5).

Note: For some models, the impeller is not supplied separately as a spare part. In this case, the fan assembly with the motor should be replaced.
6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
