Attention! The models described in this manual. equipped with airbags. When working in the airbag area, always turn them off (see chapter 12) to avoid accidental activation, which could result in injury.
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Caution: If your vehicle's audio system is equipped with anti-theft protection, make sure you have the unlock code before disconnecting the battery.
2. Drain the cooling system (see chapter 1).
3. Remove the center console (see chapter 11). Remove the instrument panel (see chapter 11).
4. Disconnect the hoses from the heater radiator at the connectors located on the engine bulkhead (figure 13.4).

5. Loosen the bolts/nuts securing the evaporator/fan unit and move the unit as far to the side as possible so that it does not interfere with removing the heater unit (see paragraph 19). Do not bend the refrigerant tubes.
6. Unscrew the nuts securing the heater unit to the front panel (figure 13.6, a, b). Remove the unit from under the front panel. Place a rag around the carpet under the heater location to prevent it from getting stained with spilled liquid.


7. Remove the radiator from the heater unit (figure 13.7, a, b).

8. Assembly is performed in the reverse order of disassembly.
