2. Pulley nut; 3. Generator; 4. Drive belt; 5. Pulley; 6. Hose connector; 7. Return hose; 8. Pressure hose; 9. Suspension bolts; 10. Power steering pump


1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Raise the front of the vehicle, support it securely on the jack stands, and remove the right front wheel and mudguard.

3. Remove the power steering pump pulley nut.

4. Remove the generator and drive belt (Section 5). On models with air conditioning, also remove the compressor drive belt.

5. Remove the pulley from the pump.

6. Disconnect and cap the power steering fluid lines.

7. Remove the four power steering pump-alternator mount mounting bolts and remove the pump and mount assembly from the engine.

8. Assembly is carried out in reverse order.

9. After installation, adjust the tension of the drive belt (Section 1), fill the pump reservoir with the specified liquid and bleed the system (Chapter 20).
