Parts installed from the front end of the engine
1. Right wheel; 2. Mudguard; 3. Drive belt; 4. Crankshaft pulley; 5. Top cover of the toothed drive belt; 6. Bottom cover of the toothed drive belt; 7. Tension mechanism; 8. Toothed drive belt; 9. Pulley stop bolt; 10. Crankshaft sprocket; 11. Oil pump seal
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Top cover
2. Loosen the accessory drive belt (Section 1, Chapter 6). Move the drive belt to the side.
3. Remove all accessible timing belt cover bolts.
4. On air-conditioned models, use the drive belt tension bolt to move the adjustment pulley and then push the adjuster out of the way to access the remaining bolts.
5. Turn off bolts of fastening, remove a cover from the engine.
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Adjust drive belt tension (Section 1).
Bottom cover
7. Remove the upper mounting bolt, which is accessible from the engine compartment.
8. Jack up the front of the car, support it on axle stands, remove the right front wheel and mudguard.
9. Remove the two remaining bolts, lift the cover off the engine.
10. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
