Removal
1. Remove the timing belt cover (Chapter 3) and a toothed drive belt (Chapter 5).
2. Referring to the relevant Chapters, remove the crankshaft pulley and sprocket.
3. Pry out the oil seal with a screwdriver (photo).
Pry out the old seal with a screwdriver, being careful not to damage the aluminum surface of the casing
Installation
4. Lubricate the inner lip of the oil seal with engine oil, placing it with the open side inward.
5. Drive the seal evenly and completely into the hole using a hammer and a socket of the appropriate size (photo).

6. Install the crankshaft sprocket and pulley.

7. Replace the timing belt and cover.
