Clutch cable assembly mounting parts

Removal
1. Working in the engine compartment, remove the lock nut, adjusting nut and washer from the end of the cable and unhook the cable from the release lever (photo).

2. Remove the cable from the bracket on the transmission.
3. Remove the bracket and bracket securing the cable. Remove the nuts securing the cable to the heat shield.
4. When working inside the cabin, remove the air duct and trim from under the dashboard to create the required gap.
5. Unhook the cable from the pedal and remove it from the vehicle.
Installation
6. Before installation, lubricate the contact surfaces of the roller and the release lever.
7. Insert the cable through the heat shield and connect it to the clutch pedal. Install the nuts securing the cable to the thermal insulation shield.
8. Connect the cable to the release lever and install the bracket and clamp.
9. Install the washer, adjusting nut and lock nut.
10. Adjust the pedal play (Section 1).
11. Install the duct and trim.
