Follow the steps below to remove and install.
Disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal.
Remove the steering wheel.
Remove the steering column cover and disconnect the wiring harness connectors.
Remove the heater fan duct.
Remove the combination switch.
Turn out lock nuts and bolts of fastening of a steering column, and also a coupling bolt of an intermediate shaft.
Disconnect the steering column from the intermediate shaft and carefully remove it from the vehicle.
Because the steering column is foldable, it is easy to damage it once removed from the vehicle. Be careful not to lean on or drop the speaker as this may weaken the speaker and impair its performance.
If the car has been involved in an accident, as a result of which the frame is damaged, or the body is badly damaged, or the steering column is damaged, the latter must be handed over for inspection by an experienced mechanic.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
